Born on July 20, 1962, in Montclair, New Jersey, Edward spent his early childhood in Upper Montclair before moving with his family to San Diego, California, where he grew up and attended Point Loma High School. He furthered his education by earning an Associate’s Degree from Ocean County College in Toms River, New Jersey. Central to Edward's life was his deep faith and his commitment to God. This abiding devotion served as his guiding light and a source of great comfort, shaping his gentle nature and inspiring his capacity to see the good in everyone. A proud Third Degree Knight of Columbus, Edward lived out his faith through service and brotherhood, embodying the values of charity, unity, and fraternity that define the Order. Edward's life was also anchored by a profound curiosity about the threads that bound his large family together. Over the years, he channeled this passion into becoming an expert in genealogical research. With immense patience and dedication, he painstakingly traced family lineages, preserving history and ensuring that the stories of generations past would be remembered. His work was a true labor of love — a gift of heritage and connection that he leaves behind for all who cherished him. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his quiet strength, his ready kindness, and his unwavering devotion to God and to those he loved. Edward is survived by his devoted siblings: James, John, Joseph, Michael, Daniel, Kathleen, and Thomas. He is also survived by a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James and Marie Dunn; his sister, Mary Jean; and his aunt, Jean Joyce. His legacy of love, history, and faith will live on in the hearts of the family he cherished so deeply.
