Isidor “Cubi” Rodriguez Age 82 Left us on 12/22/2015, in Hazlet, N.J. Born on 1/17/1933 Brooklyn, N.Y., He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (nee Franqui), son Alfonso “Cubi Boy” (and wife, Peggy), daughter Anita Sepulveda (and husband, Mario), son Christopher (and wife, Jacinda), daughter Denise Torres (and husband, Andy), daughter Sophia Perez (and husband, Mike), daughter Elizabeth Duran (and husband, Hervin), and son, in heaven, Alexander (survived by his wife, Theresa). Grandfather to Kisha, Jason, Luis, Tatum, Samantha, Andy, Christina, Amanda, Michael R., Elizabeth, Mario, Mike P., Taylor, Jack, and Alexandrea. Great-grandfather to Jaden, Dominic, Gavin, Alex, Isabel, Ryan, and Lilly Also survived by many Nieces and Nephews. On all days a great man. A Husband, father, grandfather, great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and bother-in-law went with our Lord. He left all of us with many great memories. He lived a very humble life and loved us all unconditionally. He made us all feel welcomed in his presence, and for that we are thankful. Isidor was a very special man, he loved his children and often told mom how blessed he was with his family. He instilled in all of us the value and importance of family. Born and raised in South Brooklyn, with 1 brother and 3 sisters he established his roots. His father died when he was just 11 years old and his mother, suffering from illness, was in and out of hospitals. He and his siblings, were in and out of catholic homes for part of their childhood. When the Korean War was ongoing, he was drafted into the US Army and served in Northern Africa. He received an honorable discharge from the Army in 1955. This is where his family life began. Seven children, fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Six decades later, we can all say he was a very special man, loved and respected. His legacy of family will live on in all of us. RIP Isidor, you are and always will be the BEST. Services will be held at Laurel Funeral Home, 201 Laurel Ave, Hazlet, N.J., 07734 Visitation is Sunday, December 27th, 2015, 2pm-5pm, 7pm-9pm. Burial will be December 28th, 2015 @ Brigadier General William C.
