Anna K. Cook Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anna Tarrani Cook, 78, of Keansburg, passed away Wednesday night, Sept 11, 2013 at Riverview hospital with her loving husband and family by her side. Anna, a very strong woman, fought for many years battling her illnesses. She was born in the Bronx where she met her husband Thomas and were married. They moved from the Bronx to Keansburg in 1964. She successfully owned and operated Pizza City, a Pizza/Italian restaurant for 25 yrs. Then she also owned and operated 2 stands on Keansburg boardwalk for 5 yrs. All this whiles raising 5 children. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Church from 1964 until her death. Anna loved her trips to Atlantic City and loved watching football and westerns with her husband. She enjoyed taking various trips to Florida, Bahamas and Hawaii with her family and friends. Anna was a loving, devoted wife to Thomas and a loving & very protective mother of Alice, Richie, Mary Ella and Karen and her son, Thomas Jr, who predeceased her in June 2011 and is now reunited with him. Anna was a proud grandmother of Dawn, Lisa, Roxanne, TomTom, Vinny Jr, Michael, Kayla, Marissa, Ashley, Amanda, and Erica. She was also a cherished great grandma to Jessica, Carlos, Jazlyn, Stephanie and John. Anna will never be forgotten and will be greatly missed by many. Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 6-9pm Sunday, Sept 15 at Laurel Funeral Home, 201 Laurel Ave, W Keansburg. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:15am Monday, Sept 16 at St. Ann Church, Carr Ave, Keansburg. A Cremation service will follow at a later date.
