Dawn M. Siegel

May 22, 1961 - November 14, 2021

Dawn Marie Siegel (Hansen) age 60, of Morganville NJ, passed away on Sunday November 14th due to complications arising from a compromised immune system and a prolonged battle with Esophageal cancer. Dawn is survived by her devoted husband William Siegel, and her two loving sons Louis Paul, and James Albert. She is also survived by her three sisters: Denise and husband Anthony Metta Sr., Deana and her husband William Alles Jr., Danielle and husband Joseph Carbone; and brother Paul Hansen and wife Kimberly. She was blessed with an abundance of nieces and nephews: William Alles III (and their children Amber and William IIII) and wife Lauren, Nicole and husband Erik Friedman, Diana Siegel, Elena Siegel, Allison Metta, Anthony Metta Jr., Gregory Auditore and wife Breanne (and their son Nicholas-Robert), Brian Auditore and wife Tara, Michael Gennet, Lauren Gennet, Vincent Hansen, Ava Marie Hansen, Alyssa Hansen, Paul Hansen Jr., Leilani Pagan, Nicholas and Nicole Perrone, Jessica and Caitlyn Conklin. She is also survived by her cousins Joseph and Luigi Carbone and many friends whom she cared for deeply. She was not the sort of person who made distinctions between family or friends, and she loved the people who were important to her very fiercely. Dawn was born in Brooklyn, NY to Serefine Hansen and James Paul Hansen both of whom pre-deceased her. She attended the Long Island University School of Nursing and worked for many years as a Clinical Coordinator in specialties such as GI, Dermatology, Infectious Disease, and Prosthetics and Orthotics. She had a very spirited personality but was always a very compassionate and caring woman. Dawn also held many causes close to her heart, from cancer research to environmental conservation and animal rights. One thing that could never be denied was that she was a lover of all animals, but none more so than her cherished cat Moose. She was a big hockey fan, and one of her favorite activities was watching the New Jersey Devil’s play with her family. She had many interests and hobbies, from singing to crocheting, but always had time for the people closest to her. Nothing made her happier than simply spending time with her family. Additionally, we Dawn’s Family, would like to extend heartfelt love and thanks to the following family, friends, and neighbors who have sent us their love, support, and helped us during this trying time. Your love and support have meant the world to us.
