June 28, 1960-December 18, 2021 Joe died peacefully in his Keansburg home Saturday surrounded by loved ones after a years long struggle with multiple health issues. He was predeceased by his father Joseph A. Sherman Sr., his mother Bernadine Murphy, a brother Norman Sherman, and two sisters, Elizabeth Sherman and Donna Sherman. He is survived by his loving wife Cory Sherman, thee sons, Curtis Sherman, Brian Sherman and Joseph A. Sherman III, a granddaughter Elena Sherman and a grandson Elijah Sherman.He is also survived by a sister Nancy Pump and her husband Harm Pump and a brother Anthony Sherman and his wife Susan Sherman. Also two half sisters Debra Jo Gencarelli and Jody Ann Sherman. Joe was the ultimate family man. He never ceased to let us know how much we all meant to him. Joe was an extremely hard worker who spent 42 years in the same union, NMDU, first as a truck driver and later as a warehouse foreman. Joe was an avid bowler for many years and served a term as the Monmouth County Bowling Association President. Joe loved football and especially his Miami Dolphins.
